I want to take this opportunity to say what a great experience we had with Truong. A friend was visiting from another country, and his Mac didn't start up -- just a black screen. I called a couple big shops in Mpls., and they charged a (big) flat fee before even determining the cause, then would charge a flat fee no matter what the fix (they wouldn't quote me an hourly rate). This was a Sunday, and they couldn't even look at the Mac until Wed., soon before my friend had to leave the country.
I called Truong and left a message. He not only called back on Sun., but said he could take a look. He offered to come to my home, but I felt the least I could do on a Sun. was take the Mac to him. I asked if he wanted us to leave it with him, but he said he'd check it then if we had the time.
He immediately honed in on a couple possibilities, and fixed the issue in a matter of minutes. He also had some memory cards, which he offered at a very reasonable price, and installed them, fixing the issue and doubling the memory. He also fixed a couple annoying app issues. He charged us for 1/2 hr., which was less than the time we were actually there.
I have total confidence in his expertise(worked with IT guys in Silicon Valley for 25 yrs), and he's completely honest, honorable, and kind.Needless to say, it was a huge relief to my friend and, when he returns in the Spring, he plans to have Truong replace his old hard drive.Thanks, Truong, for a very positive experience and outcome!
